Becky's Funds for Life

This is my wife Becky. Through life's journey Becky was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, and common varieable immune deficiency. Becky has had so much intestine removed, that she now has to be attached to an IV tunneled catheter in her chest. This requires her to be connected up to 14 hours a day in order to recieve her live giving nutrition. The down side of this, is that she is constantly in the hospital with catheter infections, that require long hospital stays. Through the years, she has lost all venous access, except for the current location in her chest. Becky,s specialists discovered a drug called Taurolock, which dwells in the catheter when not in use, and has had a great success rate with keeping the infection rates very low in my wife. The catch is that this drug is made in Germany, but is not approved by the FDA. Her doctor at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon NH was able to acquire this drug for her, which has helped her stay out of the hospital, which in turn has kept her from having her catheter replaced every time she would get an infection. Now the hospital can no longer support my wife financially with the drug, although they said we could still have access to it if we wanted to pay for it. The cost is about 7500.00 for an 18 month supply. I fear that without this drug, my wife will lose her final access site in her chest. When this happens, she will no longer be able to recieve her nutritional values, and her systems will start shutting down. Please help me fund my wife's survival, so that we can continue to enjoy our lives together, like we have for the past 31 years. Thank you.
