Hi Everyone,
My name is Maria and Esther was my sister. I setup this page to help support Esther’s husband Niroshan and their first newborn baby Bryan. On June 19th 2017 Esther Leung passed away due to post-labor complications four days after giving birth to Bryan. Our families watched as Esther battled an infection for several days before her body gave out on her.
This whole situation is tragic, but it is amplified by the pure love and happiness Esther had as a person, and especially during her pregnancy. During her pregnancy I watched Esther and Niroshan prepare, plan, and take every precaution to ensure that Bryan was born a healthy baby. From the moment Esther knew of her pregnancy, everything Esther and Niroshan did was for Bryan. I watched Esther read up on how to birth a healthy baby and take care of a newborn. I watched Esther change her diet and fitness routine to make sure Bryan was strong. I watched them both head out on Saturday mornings to take Esther to prenatal yoga so that the delivery would go smoothly. I watched them both light up every time Bryan would give a little kick or turn. I helped them prepare their little home to accommodate their baby boy to come. I could feel the pure joy and excitement they had for their upcoming adventure.
Esther was a kind, gentle, and loving person. I have no doubt she would have been an incredible mom to Bryan. Nothing and no one will be able to replicate the love she would have given to Bryan. Even still, I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support the offline and online community has given us. Bryan may never truly know the love his mom had for him, but your messages will hopefully help him understand how good of a person Esther was and how much she loved him.
The funds will help Niroshan deal with the costs of the funeral and expenses associated with raising Bryan without his mother. Thank you for reading and for the support. Please keep them both in your thoughts.
