Most people in my life know that it has been a long time dream of mine to study abroad while in school. Now, I finally have that opportunity, but I need you help to get there.
My community college, Volunteer State, works with TnCIS to provide study abroad opportunities to its students. One such opportunity is a chance to go to South Korea for a summer. Since I likely will not get a chance to visit Korea again with my intended major of classical music performance, I decided this was the best program for me so that I could experience first hand a culture that has fascinated me for years.
But I need your help to get there.
TnCIS trips cost, on average, $4300-$4900. On top of this amount, having spending money for additional meals (since only two meals a day are provided) and emergency money is heavily advised. As a student already using her own money to pay for school and constantly seeking out scholarships to afford to further my education, this is no small amount. To get to South Korea this summer, I will need all the help I can get.
If you could spare a few dollars and a few minutes of your time to spread the word to those you think could help, it would be greatly appreciated. It would mean the world for this trip to become a reality for me!
