ESGI - Kindergarten Assessment Data

As a Kindergarten teacher, I know how important the development of early literacy and math skills are to help students find success later in life. Intentional, explicit instruction fosters the growth and learning of these skills. Data is a key factor in the intentional lesson planning necessary to help students develop life long learning skills. 

In Kindergarten, so much of the assessment data collected is done one-on-one. It can take a lot of organization and time to manage this. In the past, when I had access to and used ESGI, I was able to spend more time focused on interpreting the data to build thoroughly intentional lessons that provided more time with my students. ESGI is an online tool with access to thousands of assessments. It also has a test generator so I can create my own assessments and share them within my district. It provides immediate feedback with data and I can easily generate parent letters and flashcards to send home. The cost for a one-year subscription is $225. 

I have moved across the country and teach in a new district that does not provide access to this tool. And with a nationwide pandemic, some of my time with students is spent virtually. I have been able to use ESGI with a free trial to easily share my screen and collect more valid student centered knowledge and data to inform my instruction. My free trial is about to expire.
