Escape Gaza: Rebuilding Hope

In the wake of the devastating conflict that struck Gaza on October 7, 2023, my life, along with my fiancé Mahmoud’s, has been upended. Our workplace, our source of livelihood, was obliterated. Our home, our sanctuary, was reduced to rubble. The dreams we cherished, especially those of starting a life together, were shattered.

Now, amidst the ruins, we cling to a glimmer of hope. We seek only one thing: the means to leave Gaza and rebuild our lives elsewhere.

This fund will cover the following:

$ 15,000 for Immediate Support: This portion will go towards providing immediate assistance as Arwa and Mahmoud navigate their way to safety in Egypt. It will cover their basic needs such as a place to live, food, clothes, and other essentials while accommodating to a new country.

$ 10,000 for Permits and Crossing Fees: The bulk of this fund will cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza and for crossing fees required at the Egypt-Gaza border at Rafah Crossing. This amount breaks down to $10,000 per person: for Arwa and her fiancé.
