Ernie's Medical Fund

Ernesto was diagnosed with T-cell ALL, a rare form of Adult Leukemia. A week after his 33rd bithday Ernie went to the emergency room with symptoms of shortness of breath and fatigue. The emergency room doctors drained 2 liters of fluid from his lungs and found two large tumors. After a bone marrow biopsy was done he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He underwent and intensive chemotherapy where he stayed in the hospital for 30 days. This is and has been a life changing experience for his family and especially for him. He was a healthy young man who loved to surf, golf and play baseball with his 6 year old daughter Berlyn. He learned never to take life for granted and live day by day. Chemotherapy has cleared his bones of Leukemia but for how long we dont know. His bone marrow Dr, decided a transplant would be a second chance at life for Ernie. This will take place at City of Hope.  
          The funds raised will go to Ernie medical insurance cost and medication since he will be on disability for a year and his insurance will be paid out of pocket once his city hours are exhausted.
