Erik Brewer Memorial Fund

On Tuesday, May 1st, Erik was riding his motorcycle with his son (who was on a separate bike). The motorcycle slipped on some gravel and Erik was thrown over a bank and hit a tree. After fighting through the night and all day on Wednesday, Erik succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Erik was a valuable member of our Northeast Herc Rentals team. He was our sole road mechanic in Muncy, PA – primarily servicing the gas field for a number of years. He endured all sorts of weather and always did whatever he could to keep the customer happy. When the Muncy branch closed, Erik went out to start his own venture, but after a few months, he decided to come home to Herc Rentals. We were thrilled to have him back. For the past few years he was working as a road mechanic servicing many large projects, including a large Kiewit site where the customer loved his personality and dedication. He mostly supported our ProSolutions team but helped any branch that needed him.
Erik leaves behind his loving wife April and 7 beautiful children, the most recent born just a few months ago.
In his last selfless act, Erik donated his organs and was able to save the lives of three other people.
Although we cannot bring Erik back, we are hoping to raise money to help support Erik’s family during this difficult time. Any contribution made will go directly to Erik’s wife and will be greatly appreciated.
