In Loving Memory Of Eric Moran

Donation protected

My name is Amber Woloshen. I am the older, and only sister to Eric Moran. He was the baby in our family. We grew up in Melita Manitoba, I currently reside in Rivers, Mb, but my parents still live in Melita... Although they have not been able to move home since returning from their holiday on June 14th to some sad news.  This GoFundMe account was set up for my parents with my father Michael Moran as the beneficiary, and is set up to receive funds through his email.

In the second week in June 2017, my brother lost a long, difficult battle with mental illness and addiction. To our devestation he took his own life days before Father's Day, and a week before his 26th birthday which we celebrated, sadly, without him.

I have created this campaign to raise money to repair my parents home as they are unable to return due to the damages cause by the barricades Eric set up to be left alone to complete his suicide. Aside from that he had been deceased long enough to cause serious  a damage to parts of the home.  Parts of the home had to be torn completely up, some of the subflooring had to be removed, and special primers had to be used on the floor to try to cover up the odournof death. The bathroom where he completed his suicide is basically a gutjob ... as he had passed on days earlier before being discovered.

The damages and repairs are extensive.
Flooring was ripped out from the bathroom to the hallway.
The bathroom door, along with the bathroom itself is basically a shell because the cleaning company had to remove basically everything.
The walls will need to be painted with special paint. New flooring will need to be put in.

Cancade estimates repairs are estimated to be between $30,000 to $60,000. Pictures of some of the damages have been included as we were flagged as possibly trying to scam... Which is infuriating.

My parents cannot return there at this time so I am asking for help to return their house to a home, and not a place laden with sorrow as quickly as possible.

I set the campaign at $100,000 as I would like to begin a kick-start program to assemble a team to go to schools, group homes, prisons, personal care homes, hospitals, and home visits.

Once the initial draft of the program is created I will be approaching the government for a grant to get the program going... as of right now, our health care falters when it comes to mental health.  I should have a rough draft with financial information included finished within 2 months time.

Already so many people have come forth offering to join  the cause, so I will create a Facebook page for us to all converge until we are able to make a game plan.

For now, I just want my parents to be able to go home. To be able to find new normality in their lives, and to heal.

Please, please reach out if you are struggling with mental illness. The road to mental wellness is tough and discouraging, but YOU are worth fighting for that, and you are not alone. Your families deserve to enjoy your presence for many years to come.

Please like and publicly share this post with anyone and everyone....

We never know who the next victim of suicide may be, and although they are the ones who finally find peace, we all know it is the survivors who must band together to support one another through these devestating times. Please, please help us, and help one another heal.

Eric was a wonderful young man... And he really did give the best hugs in the whole world.
