Help for Larry's Recovery

Please help support Erica and Larry with medical expenses! A few weeks ago Larry began to not feel well and was put on bed rest. After several days of discomfort Erica took Larry to the emergency room. After spending the night in the ER the doctors discovered that Larry's lungs were filled with fluid and that he had a severe infection. The doctors did an epyema and decortication to remove the infection and fluid from his lungs. While working on his lungs they also discovered that his heart is 100% blocked. However, the doctors cannot fix his heart until his lungs have healed and he is stronger. At this point Larry is almost completely immobile because his muscles are so weak. In a month the hope is that Larry will undergo open heart bypass surgery. Larry is retired and living on a limited income with only social security benefits to help pay for his care. Erica has been left to take care of him on her own because insurance has denied all home care after his discharge on August 27th. Erica is trying to help her father perform every day tasks like going to the bathroom, showering, eating, and moving around in any way. It is a physical strain and any money that could be raised would make it possible for Larry to either go to a skilled nursing facility until his open heart surgery or be used towards paying for a home health aid for at least a few hours a day. This money and help would give Erica a break, as she is still working full time from home to pay their regular bills in addition to taking care of Larry.
