Eric Thomas - a true warrior

Many of you are aware that our dear friend Eric Thomas has been fighting for his life for the past 30 days.  It's unbelievable to think, as I write this, that a month ago Eric was in my office arguing with me when I sent him home as he sounded awful. In less than a month Eric went into complete lung failure was listed on the transplant list for a double lung transplant + kidney, went through a 13 hour surgery, and is now fighting hard to get his life back with new lungs and an extra kidney.

Eric has a long road to recovery, but as he has shown through all of this he is a true warrior and loves life.  At every turn he has stayed optimistic, stayed focused and has continued to fight hard for the next day and next milestone.

Through this I have met the most amazing family in the Thomas family.  Mama Thomas, and Pam (sister) have been by his side through every moment, through every win and set back, and the strength they show would shake you. 

We don't know what all Eric is going to need as he transitions from the hospital home.  What we do know is that his family is putting their life, and jobs on hold to help care for our warrior.  Many people have asked how they can help, and have asked if there is a gofundme set up for Eric.  Anything you would like to contribute will be given to Eric and his family to help offset costs.
If you aren't able to help, then all I ask is that you keep this amazing man, this warrior, this dear dear friend in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to hit the next milestone.
