Eric Ayala Memorial Foundation

The Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization created to honor the spirit and memory of Eric Ayala. Eric was a three sport athlete and graduate of Emerson Jr Sr High School. He was well respected by his peers, teachers and coaches and was a true champion of life. Eric was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia and succumbed to the disease only five months later.

The mission of the foundation is simply to help people who have been diagnosed with an illness or who are in a situation of need. Additionally, the foundation provides an annual scholarship to two senior high school athletes from Emerson High School and one from Park Ridge High School. The foundation has bestowed more than $145,000 in scholarships and donations to people from over 25 different towns.
