ER Playground Revitalization
Donation protected
The Eleanor Roosevelt PTO is fundraising to replace the 21yr old partially defective playground with one that is more inclusive of children ages 5-12 and children of varying abilities. The new playground would accommodate 50-60 children, have more access points, upper body apparatuses and innovative climbing pieces.
Our new structure will promote continuous play. It brings more play value to a smaller space, more social interactions and more skill development among children.
Students will benefit from this new playground by using their creative self to explore a freedom not always available during the structured day and it helps to reduce stress through physical play allowing for a more focused day.
Playgrounds stimulate problem solving skills, develop motor skills and compliment cognitive skills like memory as children climb intriguing structures.
