Equipment Fundraiser for Serpent Ambassadors
Donation protected
In 2021, I made an educational facebook post about our local snake species that went a little viral here in Nova Scotia and, as a result, my community encouraged me to persue edcuational work. I began For Pete's Snakes with only a handful of animals, certainly not enogh to do educational events... but through the amazing support of good friends, local community leaders and my online reptile community, I managed to get started and it's been snowballing ever since!
Unfortunately, with my relatively small collection of snakes, I'm only able to do enough events to feed and house what I currently keep. Snakes are prone to stress, so they need food and rest after an outing so, to meet the amazing demand I'm getting, I have to have enough animals to ensure I can maintain a healthy rotation of dowtime for all of my babies.
I'm horrible at fundraising because I hate asking any for anything, but because I started this business somewhat backwards I becoming "successful" before I afford to be a success. If you would like to help me reach more people in my snake-advocacy and change the hearts, minds and lives of even more children & families, I'd welcome your help. There's quite a bit of equipment I'll need to house additional ambassadors, so if you'd like to invest in my work, I'd be eternally grateful
PLEASE don't feel obligated. I'm sure I'll get there on my own eventually some day, but I thought I'd set this up in case anyone wanted to give me a boost.
