Equestrian team at GSU

The equestrian sports club at Georgia State University allows for riders of all levels to compete against other schools teams in our region and expand their horse back riding skills. Our team is made up of eight competing members who come from all different backgrounds and are pursuing different degrees in school, but have come together for the shared passion of riding and the love we all have for horses. As a sports club and not an official sports team we are not chartered by the school and therefore our budget relies  almost entirely on funding from fundraisers that we set up or donations. This semester is particularly tough for the team financially and without the necessary funds needed to pay for show fees, transportation, memberships, equipment, lodging, coaching, and dues we will not be able to compete or participate in the competitions we had planned on attending this semester. With three shows coming up during the month of February, two of those being out of state, time is running out for us to raise the funds needed to attend these events. Last semester we had a really great season and we were able to participate in three IHSA competitions.
