FUNDRAISING FOR HEAVY DUTY PRINTER TO HELP UGANDAN STUDENTS WITH REMOTE EMERGENCY LEARNING
Garden of Knowledge (GOK) Nursery and Primary Day and Boarding Schools, Gulu, Uganda, East Africa was founded by Komakech Charles to pay forward to his community, for the education he received through the goodwill of a New York  Rotary club and other well-wishers from the USA.

GOK currently enrolls 350 students, mostly from disadvantaged families.   Since March, as the world continues to educate its youth amidst the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, many Ugandan students have no electricity or internet to receive distance learning.

Although some students benefit from government-sponsored E-learning through television and radio broadcasts, many students are still unable to learn since they cannot afford TV, radios and smartphones.  The most reliable option for these students is delivery of printed reading materials to their homes by their teachers.

We are seeking a donation of $1,500 dollars to purchase a heavy-duty printer and a generator to facilitate the teaching and learning during this pandemic.

We appreciate any donation, as this will have a great impact on our students’ learning.

Thank you for your generosity.
