Epiphany Fund For Amanda Emerson

My wife and mother of my two sons has been diagnosed with an brain tumor in her left temporal lobe.  This tumor was discovered the day before Easter in 2013 where she became unconscious while driving. She was  traveling on the interstate and felt as if she should get off the interstate.  We were blessed as she was only one mile off of the interstate when her car crashed, she experienced no injuries.  Due to this car accident she had routine medical examinations and this tumor was discovered.  She had emergency brain surgery, where most the tumor was removed.  In 2015 it was discovered that the tumor continued to grow where the only option was radiation therapy.  In 2016 she began to have facial paralysis on the left side of her face.   She then began to experience hearing and vision loss on the left side.   It was discovered during an ER visit, where she went to save her left eye, that the tumor had grown aggressively.  She had to have another brain surgery that included facial reconstruction of the left side of her face as well as surgery in her left eye, ear, and complete reconstruction of her left jaw.  In December 2016 she began to have extensive pain in the left side of her head as well as loss of the left side of her mouth and jaw.  On Christmas she discovered a tumor on her neck. The year 2017 began with an MRI and on her birthday she was informed that the tumor continues to grow.    Throughout this experience we as a family have learned to trust our Heavenly Father.  We are preparing to seek treatment @   Duke Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital to ease her pain, prevent loss of any additional functions in the left side of her head, and to prevent her from passing at the age of 37.  Amanda is a wonderful mother of two boys ages 15 & 18 who need her now more than ever as they embark on their journey into Manhood.  Amanda is a LCSW where she has spent the last 12 years studying and practicing social work.  She has spent years helping individuals and families struggling with mental health issues to cope with trauma and stress and to find hope and healing.  She has been called to serve Christ with a goal to continue to minister and support those in need.  We are asking for prayers and donations in order to experience healing through Christ and the medical community.  This journey began with a miracle and with Christ and your love and support can end with a miracle.  "In the midst of every storm there is a field of wild flowers just around the corner"- Amanda Emerson.
