Igloo

Hi there, I am excited to announce that the new evening-length work that I have been developing and showing excerpts of since Fall 2017 titled “Igloo” finally has a weekend to show the entire piece. Igloo will be performed at Arts on Site (12 St. Mark’s Place, NY, NY 10003) on Saturday June 16th at 3:45pm and Sunday June 17th at 7:30pm.A work for eight dancers, Igloo combines contemporary dance with elements of hip-hop, breaking, house dance and martial arts set to a score of sample heavy experimental hip-hop and ambient music. The piece aims to depict the effect that physical cold as well as the state of feeling emotionally cold has on the relationships with ourselves and those around us. This production is a huge ordeal, and we need your help to make the show come to life in its fullest potential. A generous donation from you would help pay for the cost of the performance space, costumes, props, and the salaries of the performers. We will also be showing an excerpt on June 8th at 8pm at University Settlement (184 Eldridge Street) as a part of New Dance Alliance’s 32nd Annual Performance Mix Festival. If you leave a donation you will receive a complimentary ticket to the one of the two Arts on Site performances of your choosing. You also will receive a special invitation to an open rehearsal in May or June to get a sneak preview and deeper insight of the piece.
