Enneagram Courses and Conferences

Hi, I'm Lane Maxfield from The Enneagram for Writers. My project is designed to teach writers how to use the Enneagram to create more compelling story arcs, while also helping coaches use books, movies and TV shows to accessibly teach the Enneagram. My goal is always to dive deep into the Enneagram, exploring the deeper values, fears and motivations of the type, while avoiding the cliches that can make people feel like the Enneagram is simplistic and stereotypical.

To do this, I need to go beyond the superficial information presented on social media and in many self-help books, and work with the coaches and therapists who see the real-world complexity of inner work. This means attending conferences and seminars that are expensive. I work as an at-home caregiver and make minimum wage, which means many of my best learning opportunities are simply unaffordable. This is especially frustrating because I want to explore diversity and accessible mental health, which tend to be under-discussed in Enneagram circles precisely because the industry is so expensive. The Enneagram has real power to support and transform marginalized people in crisis. Still, it will never live up to that potential if disadvantaged people like myself can only access the fringes of the community.

The first $440 that I earn will be spent on the Expanding the Enneagram conference, which will discuss precisely this problem, focusing on racial justice. The remaining money will be spent on a course or seminar that donors will vote on. After this, I hope that I will be able to earn enough from my Enneagram content to pay for any future classes myself.
