Our family loves to travel - and I mean loves to travel!
From vacations and theme parks to festivals and weekend getaways, we have been up and down the eastern seaboard. One of the biggest hassles that we seem to face is being organized. Between planning trips and creating itineraries, it is nothing less than tedious to keep everything running smoothly; and when you add more and more people to the mix, you can forget about it.
A couple of years ago, we began to look for a solution to this problem. They have plenty of apps in the app store, but we were unable to find one that incorporated all aspects of the trip, and who wants 18 apps on their phone in order to stay organized? Not us!
Before events/trips:
- Coming up with Ideas
- Making and assigning To-Do items for everyone
- Setting reminders based on the days/times that each person wants
- Notifications for new things or things that have changed
- Fill up the packing/supplies list - easily reuse items from previous events
- Entering what you know; lodging, meals, activities and their receipts
- Group chatting as the event nears
During events/trips:
- Morning notification of that days itinerary
- Taking pictures of the days activities
- Easily adding in meals/activities as you do them
- Entering receipts for purchases along the way
After events/trips:
- Adding in anything overlooked
- Adding receipts
- Adding photos
- Group chatting about how fun everything was
- Mark a page in history
At the end of the day, the goal of a vacation is to have fun, but with so many moving parts it can easily turn into a grueling and tiresome affair. And with so many apps with limited capabilities, stress is sure to follow.
So what do you do when you have a problem? You find a solution! We have worked from the ground up to build an app that solves just this issue - Planned Adventure! Sharing photos, messaging, and daily notifications are just a fraction of what this app can do. Working closely with friends and family, we have been able to test the app to its fullest capabilities, using it to stay organized and in constant communication for the entirety of our trips. It doesn't matter if it’s 4 people or 40, this app is built to handle it all, keeping everyone in sync as any changes occur. 1 year, 50 trips, and numerous tweaks and changes later, we think we have the solution. No matter if you are going to a Harry Potter fest, camping in the wilderness, or RVing across the country, we have the answer you are looking for.
