Fighting Displacement
Donation protected
I am Carson Gaffrey-Kruse, and I am on a mission to end displacement when disaster strikes (earthquakes, fire, flooding, war, etc.). Right now I am starting a non-profit that provides temporary housing that fits each family and individual's needs. When disaster strikes, large tents are placed for a massive amount of people and families, which are not sanitary, private, or secure. My goal is to give families and individual's temporary housing that is sanitary, private, secure, and most importantly a place that they can proudly call home.
To put this vision into action, I need to complete the necessary start-up process. To fulfill this list, I am going to need $225 to trademark the name, $900 to register the nonprofit, and $950 for a 501(c)(3) application, which is a tax exemption that enables you to direct more money to those who are displaced. Additional attorney fees are $1,075. This doesn't include Gofundme fees which will subtract approximately $350. Extra money donated will be reserved for future expenses for the company.
List of requirements:
1: Register the non-profit
2: Get the name trademarked
3: Apply for a 501(c)(3) tax exemption
(Name not included in the text for security reasons.)
