The New York League of Puerto Rican Women is dedicated to supporting young women of Puerto Rican and Hispanic descent in pursuing higher education through scholarships. However, this year has brought about an unexpected challenge – the growing number of deserving applicants has exceeded our available funds, forcing us to turn away many aspiring scholars. We are reaching out to you, our community and allies, to help bridge this gap and ensure that these promising young minds have the chance they deserve to achieve their dreams.

The Need:

In a world where access to education is becoming increasingly crucial, the financial burden of pursuing higher education can be overwhelming. Many young women of Puerto Rican and Hispanic descent face additional barriers due to historical inequalities and economic challenges.
