Help Edmunds Students Learn Vital Water Safety Skills!

Hi! We are Ms. Anna and Ms. Amanda and we are English Language Learner teachers at Edmunds Middle School. We are hoping to bring a group of 10 newcomer students to the YMCA for weekly swim lessons starting May 9th and ending June 6th. The cost of this program is $1,200 and will include 2 instructors for five 30-minute lessons. We have secured partial funding of $500 from our wonderful PTO, but still need to cover the remaining $700.

Living in a town adjacent to a lake and multiple rivers, water safety is crucial. Many of our students have limited access to safe water experiences. Teaching them how to swim will not only empower them with skills necessary for safety and fun but will also help them build confidence and integration within our community.
