Help Bring Dear Grandpa, It's Michael to Schools, Hospitals & Communities

Every story has the power to change a life. Some stories have the power to change how we see one another.

What began as an independent short film is now becoming a community rollout focused on autism inclusion, education, and opportunity.

Through special screenings, educational discussion guides, and partnerships with schools, hospitals, autism organizations, and community groups, we're working to ensure Michael's story reaches the people who need it most.

This campaign will help make that possible.

There are moments in life when everything changes in an instant.
For Michael's family, that moment came when he was just two years old.

He was diagnosed with autism, and suddenly the future felt uncertain.

His family was faced with words that no parent is ever truly prepared to hear, words filled with limitations and predictions about what their son might never become.

Imagine being told your child may never speak.

Imagine being told their path in life will always be restricted.

For many families, those words bring fear, uncertainty, and heartbreak.
But Michael's story didn't end there.
It was only the beginning.

Michael Today
Today, Michael is living proof of what can happen when a person is given support, encouragement, and the opportunity to grow.

The child who was once defined by limitations now has a driver's licence, is employed, is continuing his education, and is building a future on his own terms.

His journey reminds us that potential should never be measured by a diagnosis.

Today, his story helps inspire families, educators, employers, and communities to rethink what is possible.

Momentum Is Building
One of the most meaningful moments in this journey came when Dear Grandpa, It's Michael was presented at the ICAN Conference on April 3, 2026.

Standing alongside Michael and Stefano after the screening was a powerful reminder of how far this project has come, and of the conversations it is beginning to inspire.

That experience reinforced what this project has always been about: creating greater understanding, championing inclusion, and expanding opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Michael's story is no longer reaching just one audience. It is beginning to reach communities.

We are also grateful to Ross & McBride LLP, our first Community Sponsor, whose support is helping us expand the project's reach into communities.

Why This Campaign Matters
The next chapter of Dear Grandpa, It's Michael is about sharing one family's story.

It is about helping people see autism through a different lens, one that recognizes strengths, potential, and possibility.

Through community screenings, educational discussion guides, and partnerships with schools, hospitals, autism organizations, and community groups, we hope to spark meaningful conversations that encourage greater understanding and inclusion.

Our goals are to:
● Share an authentic story that families and communities can connect with.
● Encourage greater understanding of autism through lived experience.
● Inspire hope for families beginning their own journey.
● Promote inclusion and meaningful opportunities for individuals on the spectrum.
● Create conversations that continue long after the film ends.

For many families, the hardest part is not the diagnosis itself.

It is what comes next.

Waiting for support.

Searching for answers.

Wondering what the future will hold.

Michael's journey shows what can become possible when people are believed in, included, and given the opportunity to succeed.

About the Team
Dear Grandpa, It's Michael is produced by My Three Angels Pictures Inc., an independent Canadian production company committed to telling stories that inspire inclusion, compassion, and meaningful social change.

Led by producer and writer Tyrone Greenidge, alongside director Anthony Carniello, writer/producer Geoff Hart, and autism consultant Donna Graham, the team is passionate about creating films that spark conversations and build stronger, more inclusive communities.

Building Opportunity Beyond the Screen
Our vision extends beyond one film.

We believe authentic representation should also create meaningful opportunities.

That is why one of our long-term goals is to hire 30–40% of our cast and crew from the autistic community on every production, providing mentorship, hands-on experience, and transferable skills that can open doors to future employment.

While an estimated 86% of autistic adults experience unemployment or underemployment, we believe storytelling can also become a pathway to inclusion, confidence, and opportunity.

Our commitment is simple:
ENGAGE. EMPOWER. EMPLOY.

The Impact You Can Make
Supporting this campaign is about far more than helping complete a film.

It is about helping Michael's story reach the people who need it most.
A parent searching for hope.

A family navigating a new diagnosis.

An educator looking for a better way to support students.

An employer discovering the value of a more inclusive workplace.

Every screening creates a conversation.
Every conversation has the potential to change a perspective.
And every changed perspective creates new opportunities for someone who deserves to be seen for their strengths.
