Employee at Dam Pub Medical expenses

I’m the manager at the dam pub and I have an employee whose name is Alex,  who is an insanely hard worker. He is 79 and is the sole provider of his family. Has never called out and just goes above and beyond to make ends meet. We recently found out he’s actually been very sick with cancer but didn’t want to alarm anyone so he could still work. Unfortunately that caught up with him and he was hospitalized. He is getting released soon and we can’t let him work as much as he does so he can get the rest he needs and deserves. My goal is to try and make that possible but without him stressing about finances.

He is a very prideful man and at first I was just in search of cans to redeem for him because before this he would ask our servers and bartenders to save cans for him to redeem his self. It was suggested to me to set this up as well!
