Emma’s Childhood Battle

On Friday February 5th, my cousins rushed their daughter to the ER. Not knowing the news they would soon receive would jolt the world they knew. A happy family of 5, soon were crushed with the word no parent wants to ever hear. 

Cancer.

After a fun snow day filled with sledding this week, Emma wasn’t acting like herself. An abdominal mass, fatigue and not feeling herself her.. her parents acted. Within hours of arriving to the hospital Emma was rushed into emergency surgery to save her life. Emma is a bright, beautiful child who sees the beauty and kindness in everything and everyone. Right now she is taking on a battle for her life. Nothing a child should ever know. 

I’m asking to please find the kindness in your hearts to help ease the financial burden of Tom and Melissa. Right now Emma needs her parents and they don’t need the worry of anything besides their child fighting the best she can. Emma is expected to start chemotherapy after surgery and has a long road ahead. No matter how big or small I ask to please help give back to people who are selfless and would never ask for anything.
