Hi, my name is Emma Rutledge and I have been playing soccer for as far back as I can remember. Throughout my life I have not yet found a passion for anything like the passion and love I have for soccer. It helps me believe I can do anything if I put my heart into it.
The Backstory
I am always playing, Whether it is with my club team, Eagle Claw FC, my high school team at Auburn Mountainview, working with a personal coach, or by myself, I am always working to improve. I always try to lead by example and work hard to be a positive example and leader for my teammates, on and off the field. I successfully juggle my love for soccer, being an Honor Roll student, and a member of my high school cheer team. Having a positive attitude and strong work ethic are some of the best qualities I posses.
The Opportunity
I have been given a huge opportunity to join my Eagle Claw teammates in Valencia, Spain in April 2019 to train and compete against some of the best Spanish teams along with other teams from around the world. For 2 weeks I would be staying near downtown Valencia. I would be traveling to Valencia CF training grounds to be coached by professional coaches. This would be a truly amazing and memorable experience. This would most definitely improve my level of play and make me a better player being able to be immersed into the Spanish culture and style of play. My goal is to play soccer in college, an opportunity like this would make a huge impact on reaching my goal.
The Cost
Included in my experience:
- Airfare
- Full board accommodations in Hotel Sorrolla Palace
- Bus service to Valencia or Sports City
- Valencia CF Soccer Cup (Tournament we will be playing in)
- Mestalla Forever Tour
- Academia Valencia CF Methodology Sessions
- Valencia CF Soccer Cup Party in Mestalla
- 10 training sessions 90 min. each
- Football Squash Tournament
- Tickets for a professional Valencia Game
- Official tracksuit
- Official training kit
My teammates and I are depending on each other to be there to play, train, and have an unforgettable experience as a team. I am starting a blog (the link will be posted on here shortly) and I will be documenting with photos and videos: my training sessions, my upcoming high school season and my continued play and events with my Eagle Claw family.
