Emily Simpson Intensive Speech Therapy

Donation protected
Emily suffered a stroke on 8th July 2012, aged 10.

The impact has been huge, from the loss of the use of her right hand, being unable  to walk, neurological fatigue and an inability to speak, read and write, known as Aphasia.

Emily’s priority is to overcome her Aphasia. Learning to talk again is extremely hard work. Sadly, support isn’t sufficiently available in the UK for children and young with Aphasia.

An intensive speech therapy course is available in March 2020 at the University of Milwaukee. It is hoped to raise sufficient funds for Emily to take part in this intensive experience that will benefit her for the rest of her life and in so many ways.

Emily has achieved so much, learning to walk again and adapt to take the new challenges and keep smiling. Emily was even awarded the Stroke Association’s Children & Young People’s Courage Award in 2015.

Helping reduce the impact of Aphasia is so important to Emily. Please help her.
