Emil & Mary Ravet Memorial

HELLO RAVET CLAN -
For those that don't know me I'm Bob Ravet, the great grandson of Emil Ravet, one of the early Seattle settlers...and it appears that I'm on a mission. Here goes and I'll try to make this a short story.

Several weeks back I decided to find the grave sites of our great-grand parents, Emil and Mary Ravet. Emil immigrated from Belgium in the late 1800's and eventually settled down in what would now be the north end of Rainer Valley.

I found, my looking at old Seattle Time's Obituaries, that they were buried in the Calgary Catholic Cemetery, located about a quarter mile from the Seattlle's University Village.  As it turns out neither of them have a headstone at their burial plot. So what I'm going to suggest is that as a part of the extended Ravet family I would love to raise the funds, using GoFundMe,  to have a proper stone marking their burial plots.

Attached you'll see a couple of samples of the economy gravestone along with an estimate of costs. I was assured that the cost would be no more than $1045.75

One last thing, it turns out they are not buried side by side, but about 100 feet away from each other. I asked if it was customary to have one stone placed at one of the burial plots, either Mary or Emils, and was told that it was very common.
So with all of this said, I would love to see a stone placed fifty-eight years after Mary's death in 1959.  We can collectively decide which site we should place the memorial. It may also be nice to have some type of ceremony when it's completed.
