Emergent Dance Company

These past few months have made a major impact on our goals for 2020. We have hunkered down, danced over zoom, and watched our world take an unprecedented turn. We watched with admiration at all the help the US government shared with our country and people. However, as a nonprofit organization in the arts, the help would not come to us. The performing arts all over the world needs your help to keep the arts alive now more than ever.  I am Megan Pulfer, the Artistic Director and founder of Emergent Dance Company, a professional dance company founded and supported by the nonprofit youth ballet company, Ballet Etudes. Our goal is to create professional dance opportunities to local dancers and to establish an elevated dance experience to our local communities.  Please join me in making a difference for our company and arts community. We're raising money to benefit Emergent Dance Company a sister company to Ballet Etudes, and any donation will help make an impact to our future. The money we are raising will directly support our very first full evening production. A performance that was planned for October 2020. In light of COVID-19, our plans have to be postponed to October 2021. Our hopes and excitement remain high for our first production even if we have to jeté over these hurdles in the road. Our performance will feature all of the repertoire over our past 6 seasons, our company dancers, and our first apprenticeship company, giving local college dancers a unique professional opportunity. The show must go on and this art form can not dissolve. Help us keep this beautiful art form alive.  Donation Milestones: $5,000 - pays for our theater rental and production costs $7,000 - in addition to above, pays for the dancers performance pay $10,000 - in addition to above, pays for part of our rehearsal season $13,000 - in addition to above, pays for our entire rehearsal season Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause, it means so much to us. More information about Ballet Etudes: Ballet Etudes is Huntington Academy's resident non-profit youth ballet company. Our mission is to expose a new generation of children, both performers and audience members to the beauty, grace, and athleticism of ballet; and to offer this experience at affordable prices. Ballet Etudes performs a full length Nutracker as well as two original children's ballets per year.
