Emergency Surgery Without Insurance

I had recently switched employers and as a result, was without medical insurance for a short period of time.  Unfortunately, in this short span of time, I had to get a laparoscopic appendectomy due to me now knowing I had chronic appendicitis.  My now current health insurance went into effect on February 1st however, the hospital stay and surgery all took place on the 31st of January.  Because of that, my medical insurance won't cover the bill at all and it will instead be fully out of my own pocket.  This is also coming right after moving and several other big expenses I have had recently, putting me in a tough financial position.  Any donations or even just sharing of my story will be greatly appreciated, thank you.  Though I don't have much to offer, whoever is the top donator I will crochet a sweater and send it to them as thanks.
