Emergency Surgery for Babs!

Tax deductible

***EMERGENCY SURGERY TODAY***

Southern California Shelter Rescue - Sweet Babs has had a very rough time with a recent amputation and learning to walk on 3 legs.

Since August she had been sitting in a shelter with a fractured leg,  waiting for someone to give her a chance.  Babs never lost hope and wiggled that nub to anyone who'd say hello.  Her wish was finally granted, she had her leg amputated three weeks ago and  was ready to move up north.

Early this morning she arrived from transport from Southern California to begin her new life in the Pacific Northwest.    We thought she'd get settled into her foster home for recovery and then be ready for adoption.

But, within hours of arriving her foster family knew something wasn't right and kept monitoring her throughout the morning.   She kept vomiting, began getting lethargic and her stomach began to get enlarged.   Thanks to the fast actions, Babs was raced to the emergency clinic where they quickly confirmed that she had  gastric torsion or bloat.  Bloat can be fatal if not treated swiftly.

She is undergoing Emergency Surgery right now and we are all crossing our paws for her.   But, we need your help to pay for this expensive life saving surgery.   Please consider donating today.

Northwest Boxer Rescue (NWBR) believes that every boxer deserves a chance to live a happy life in a loving home. Abandoned or homeless boxers will always find shelter, medical care and ultimately a new home through the efforts of NWBR.
