Emergency Relief for Our Friends in Malawi
Donation protected
Our friends in Malawi were hit with a violent storm that brought massive rain and hailstones. They need help rebuilding their churches and homes (500+ destroyed).
The money will directly go from Breakwater Church to our Malawian pastors and friends in Phalombe. It will help pay for the construction, bricks, and iron sheeting for the houses and churches in the villages. This is much needed as the rainy season is about to begin. Many people will be without homes and unable to meet for church.
From Pastor Stanley George:
"Hello, Abusa Kurt. Pastor Chilambe, my wife, and I are in Phalombe right now showing the Jesus film. The sad story is that we have found our church fallen down due to heavy stormy rains that fell last Sunday on 18 October. News says the rains were so violent and with too much hailstones. It has destroyed so many houses (500 plus) in Phalombe including our church. I will take photos of the church tomorrow since we arrived late evening. These people had just built the church house this same year. It has really touched me because they built it with their own effort meaning to say these people are hard-working people. In order to continue gathering at this place, they have collected the iron sheets they used for roofing and made something like a fence. They have managed to put up a roof with plastic tarps. Thank you for your attention."
Thank you for your help. May God bless you.
