Emergency Relief for Korematsu Families

Korematsu Middle School in El Cerrito, California is aiming to raise $5,000 to provide immediate/emergency support for our families that need assistance for groceries and other personal necessities.
With 43% of Korematsu families classified as low-income we know there is need in our community and we believe that by providing this much needed financial support we will, in turn, be better supporting the social, emotional and academic needs of our community.
If we meet this goal, we will be able to provide 10 families with $500 gift cards. Recipients of this support will be determined by the COST (Coordination of Services Team) at Korematsu Middle School, using data collected through a survey that has been distributed to students and families through email and social media.
