Emergency relief for earthquake victims Türkiye

On Monday early morning a strong earthquake hit the southeastern part of Turkiye. The 7.8 magnitude quake struck at 4:17a.m. (0117GMT).

So far it was recorded that a number of 5775 buildings collapsed. According to current statement from the Turkish government more than 9000 people were killed and over 20.500 people injured. The cities that are mainly affected are Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Hatay, Osmaniye, Malatya, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Sanliurfa, Kilis and Adana. The earthquake was also felt in Syria, Lebanon and Cyprus causing many deaths in northern Syria aswell.

The Turkish rescue teams working with all efforts to save people who are stuck under the ruins on the ground still there is additional support needed as the earthquake left tremendous damages.

While there are still shockwaves happening and due to the traumatic experience of this intense earthquake many families across the cities mentioned above are afraid to return to their homes, some do not have homes to return to anymore. Due to the cold, rainy and snowy weather conditions people are additionally suffering.

Seeing the suffering of our country is devastating. We are calling for your support. Help us to help these families by providing emergency needs such as blankets and especially financial support for their personal needs as thousands lost their homes. We will also ensure to support displaced Syrian refugee families who are living in these Turkish cities and are already vulnerable.

To make it clear, the donations will 100% be distributed on the ground in the above mentioned cities in form of financial support to families who lost their homes.
