Emergency Medivac for Dakota Reid

Hi everyone. Tonight I am reaching out to advocate for assistance to raise funds necessary to bring my dear friend Dakota back to Canada. After pursuing a trip to Panama City, Dakota unexpectedly became critically ill and is requiring intensive care hospitalization. Although he is almost off life support, He is not improving quickly enough due to the inability to acquire enough O negative blood/and or matching donors to provide Dakota with the life saving treatment he currently requires. For my colleagues out there: he is still sitting at a hemoglobin of 66 with no estimate as to when blood will be available. In order to avoid any further complications Dakota is in desperate need of assistance to pay for the only way he can get home. Due to his medical conditions, he is requiring an urgent medivac low altitude flight, accompanied by critical care trained staff. Our present invoice estimate is roughly $62,000. I know this is a huge ask, but it’s for an amazing cause. Amazingly, family has already started us of with approximately $7,000. If you are unable to contribute by way of donation, any support related to cheaper medivac flights, emergency government funding, or have anyone you can contact in Panama to donate blood!
