Emergency Kiki Surgery Bills

Hi, I'm Ash, fundraising to cover part of the emergency surgery costs for my dog, Kiki. She's a happy fun loving dog who is and always has been healthy.

Kiki ended up in surgery because she had two bullae on her lungs (which can be compared to a blister) one popped releasing air into her chest. So much air was released that she nearly stopped breathing due to a lack of space for her lungs to expand. An emergency procedure had to take place in Sierra Vista and she was then transferred to Tucson where a second bulla was discovered. Surgery was required to remove this bulla so air can stay where it belongs..her lungs. The underlying cause of this is genetic and the vet related this growth occurring in dogs as rare as getting struck by lightning. Although the future can't be predicted future bullae growth is highly unlikely.

This fundraiser is to cover part of her surgery and post-surgery costs. I have pet insurance but there is a limit to what is covered and how much they will cover.

Kiki is young, 6, and she's been my companion through thick and thin for the past 5 years and has a lot of life left in her. There is no doubt that post-surgery she will be back to her normal self. Any and all help is appreciated! She's a special girl.
