As some of you know Kris and I have been struggling financially for sometime. Partly from poor business decisions on our part and partly because of money misappropriated by a trusted business associate.
We have been trying to come out of this financial nightmare for some time. We have been blessed to have friends and family help in lots of ways, but we now need more help then we can ask from any one person. This is the hardest thing I think I have had to do but to protect what Kris and I have worked for the last 30 years including our home I will do what is needed.
In September we filed for Chapter 13. I did the filing myself with hopes of getting an attorney to finish the case for us. There will be some litigation outside the bankruptcy that will need to be done in order to regain some of the money taken from us and to secure our ownership of some investment properties. We have not been able to secure the funds for an attorney and time is running out. If we do not get an attorney soon then our case will likely be dismissed with prejudice preventing us from filing again for a length of time.
We are asking for help to raise money so that we can hire an attorney to represent us. If you can help us do that it will be greatly appreciated. If someone knows an attorney that might be willing to help us please pass that information along to us and I will reach out to them. Thanks for your consideration and for your continued prayers.
