Emergency Grants for Furloughed Restaurant Workers

The recent Regional Stay At Home order issued by the State of California has forced the shutdown of all on-premise indoor/outdoor dining for restaurants in Santa Barbara County.  While we have pivoted to a takeout model in most locations, this represents a very small fraction of our sales.  As a result, we have been forced to furlough 225 of our 250 employees at our restaurants - The Lark, Lucky Penny, Helena Avenue Bakery, Santa Barbara Wine Collective, Loquita and La Paloma.  Some of these people are amongst our community’s most vulnerable citizens and they need our help.  Please consider donating to our campaign to provide small emergency grants ($300-$500) to these dedicated workers who find themselves out of work during the holidays.  Grants will be available for any Acme employee that makes less than $45,000/year, typically works at least 30 hours per week and has had their hours reduced due to COVID-19.
