Meet Guts,
He is a loving gentleman who was born with a genetic disorder called Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI). In short his body lacks the ability to break down food and absorb nutrients.
In most cases these dogs can live normal lives with a pancreas supplement (ground up Pancreas) and anti-inflammatory steroids. These are not working for whatever reason and now we are reaching the point of no return. Guts now weighing in at 49.2lbs is in desperate need of a specialist including ultrasound, lab work and surgery to isolate the root cause.
To date our vet bills including medication to keep Guts running has totaled over 6000k but we are now out of funds and his time is running out. We need help desperately to take immediate action before he loses any more weight. I cannot stress the urgency enough; we have roughly 1 week based on his weight loss rate per day.
His name fits him because he isn’t afraid of anything and loves his family; I hope the universe will let him make it to his third birthday with your help.
