Emergency Fund For Safreed Micro-premie Twins
On December 17th, Jacob rushed Kylee to the hospital after experiencing some concerning symptoms in her 26th week of her pregnancy with twin girls. It was quickly determined that Kylee was in very active labor. The medical teams did everything they could to slow Kylee’s labor. She was unable to be life flighted to a more equipped medical facility due to not being in stable condition. Kylee’s labor continued to progress despite every effort made to stop it. Due to further complications, Keelyn and Akira Safreed were born Via c-section at 6:45am & 6:48am both weighing in at just 2 lbs each. The girls were flown to UPMC Magee’s hospital in Pittsburgh, PA for further care. Kylee is currently at a local hospital in Wheeling, WV until she is recovered enough to be discharged. Jacob is currently with the girls. So far this has been nothing short of a miracle and everyone is doing well, however, this is just the beginning of a very difficult journey for their new family.
Due to both parents being unable to work right now, Kylee and Jacob are going to need an incredible amount of support over the next few months. Both emotional and monetary support. There will be much driving back and forth, meals, and other countless expenses piling up as they embark on this journey to get their girls stronger and to bring them home. No parent should have to worry about these expenses during a time like this. Please, consider donating here or sending gas/gift cards or checks to the following:
