Emergency house move & car expenses
Dear friends,
Like many people this year, its been a terrible year for me too - sanity wise and, my pocket. I would not ask for help, but I'm forced to ask.
Its University and school holidays next week, and the few students I have to teach lessons to, go on holidays. Plus, the CoVid payment is halved.
Due to loss of work earlier this year (CoVid related), I went back to study to fill the time and improve my knowledge base - once again, a full-time Uni student battling away on a very low income (Jobseeker) - I've been managing - just - to make ends meet.
However, this year, directly due to CoVid related events (domestic violence/people losing their temper, people losing higher incomes, people just losing it in general), I have born the brunt of a few pretty 'heavy' situations - and I've had to move house four times already this year, which has exhausted all my funds - I don't have any safety-net left. I've had to ask for food money a few times, from family, so difficult the year has been. I'm still here, and attempting to keep my smile on my face....
but....
I am having to move again, very suddenly, next Wednesday 30th Sept (I won't say more than I had at least a stable and peaceful four months) - if I am able to find a room to rent next week, I will apply for the bond paid by SA Govt; or all my worldly goods must go into storage whilst I'll be sleeping on a friends couch until I can sort out accommodation.
With this additional move and subsequent financial stress, the savings I had put aside for my car rego, car and contents insurance due end of this month are now going towards an extra $1000 for the move, storage costs, plus the car rego/insurance and contents insurance.
I can only pray at this point, for Grace. So many are suffering right now. I am happy to be of service as time allows - I can offer some film work or ESL lessons as an exchange at some point for your help; and sing a few more songs for your entertainment on FB.... otherwise, I simply ask your help during this very difficult personal time, to traverse the next few weeks into new accommodation, and keep my car on the road.
