Help Save My Family's Sister and Parents in Gaza

Hi, my name is Adham. I am currently studying in the United Kingdom at University College London, and Warwick University, and Chevening scholarship alum from 2022. I am reaching out to you in a time of urgent need for my family, who are facing extreme danger in Gaza City. The situation has deteriorated rapidly, leaving them in grave peril. I am initiating this fundraiser to support the safe evacuation of two families, each consisting of four individuals, to a safe location across the Egyptian borders. Here I am with my father, sister, nephew, and brother-in-law during my last visit to Gaza.

My family has already been displaced many times within Gaza, seeking refuge from escalating conflict and danger. My sister's residence in the Palestine residential area was tragically destroyed on December 22, 2023. Additionally, my parents live perilously close to the central and most dangerous areas of Gaza, putting their lives at constant risk.

The cost to ensure the safety and evacuation of each averages $5,000 due to the high expenses involved in crossing the Egyptian borders. The estimated total cost for facilitating the safe passage and relocation of our two families, comprising eight people in total—my parents, my two siblings (Sahar and Karam), my sister Ghada, her husband, and her two sons, Moeen (6 years old) and Mohammed (3 years old)—amounts to $35,000. They lost their home when the IDF bombed Palestine Square, and they have been forced to evacuate multiple times. I pledge that any additional funds collected, or if this money is not used for its intended purpose, will be entirely directed to humanitarian aid, supporting reputable organizations such as UNRWA and Medical Aid for Palestinians. Additionally, the funds may be allocated to aiding refugees and providing essential support in the Gaza Strip.

I acknowledge that taking this step has proven quite challenging and somewhat uncomfortable for me. However, the pressing urgency of the situation and my determination to aid my family members surpass any discomfort I might feel. My elderly parents and young siblings are helpless and forced to evacuate to another place, which is fully occupied with refugees and where they have no place to go.
