Emergency Dorchester Fire Relief Fund

My boyfriend, his roommates, and their pets suffered the unimaginable—being displaced from their home due to a fire in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, November 20th. They had to evacuate and were only able to grab the very basics.
This kind of unexpected event can be a financial burden to even those who are able to plan and prepare, as there are many immediate costs--including short-term housing, access to immediate necessities like toiletries, clothing, food, cleaning supplies, etc.
This fund will support them in taking care of these immediate costs, securing short-term and long-term housing, and provide them with the essentials and a bit of peace of mind in what is a mentally exhausting situation.
UPDATE 11/24/2020: This fund was initially created to support some of the immediate needs of a few victims of this fire, however, since then, all 8 residents of the house who were displaced had an opportunity to assess what their short-term and long terms needs are and this campaign was created to further support them. Feel free to donate here or the linked campaign. The residents are the beneficiaries of all funds from both campaigns.
I am grateful to everyone who has donated or shared this fund so far and incredibly humbled by the power of community. When I learn of ways to offer non-monetary support, i.e., a place to send physical donations, I will also update this fund.
