Emergency Care for Roxanne
Roxanne has been with me since she 2014
when she said she found her forever home.
Since then she’s been the goodest of good girls and has since been my ESA. She’s saved me a
few times and helped pull me through some
dark times.
On the evening September 16 she was
attacked by another dog. My boyfriends
mother was home while we ran a quick errand. When we got back we learned she had been
attacked.
We took her to the nearest emergency vet
clinic to us where they did blood work, blood
counts because she lost so much, gave her
fluids to help stabilize her and gave some pain meds. The full follow up they want to do is
x-rays to see any internal injuries to the skull and neck - the right
eye isn’t blinking and the pupil is smaller than
the left. They aren’t sure at the moment if she has a TBI due to being shaken or if it’s nerve
damage to her face. Wound care - shaving
down her fur, cleaning and stitching up her wounds. A blood panel to make sure everything isokay, organs working like they should.
They need to sedate her to get a thorough evaluation and gave the total estimate to be between $1,500 up to $2,000. Any and all funds will be going to her emergency vet care.
