Emaus ELCA Kitchen Range Fundraiser

My name is Austin Schultz and I am raising money to help Emaus ELCA Church in Racine, WI purchase and install a new stove/range in their kitchen. Emaus is a lifeline and neighborhood hub for children and families in our community.

The need for this new equipment is urgent! Emaus is nearing the start of its 21st year of neighborhood camp. Started in the year 2000, this five week summer camp provides approximately 100 children from Racine a safe and welcoming place to learn God's love and enjoy fun summer activities. The camp serves breakfast and lunch to these children five days a week.

In addition to the summer camp, Emaus provides a weekly family meal on Wednesday nights for neighborhood children and their families, serving 75-100 people each time. The church also organizes numerous other outreach events including the Mexican Fiesta, Church Festival, and Las Posadas.

Emaus also has decades of history providing monthly meals to the community through collaboration

with the Northside Food Pantry and St. Pat’s community meals program. Most recently, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Emaus established their own food pantry where neighborhood families could obtain much needed food and supplies, no questions asked. The demand for this new food pantry grew rapidly and now serves dozens each week.

Through this extensive community outreach and fellowship, Emaus also strengthens the bonds of their congregation. Members of the church give of themselves and join together to cook for each other and our community.
