Acosta Family- Funeral and Medical

Emanuel Acosta was a student in our class at Miller Intermediate School this year. We feel honored and fortunate to have spent the last month and a half being apart of his life. Tragically, on October 4th, Emanuel, his younger brother Ulises and friend Robert were struck by a vehicle while walking home. All three of the boys were rushed to the hospital. Robert was treated for minor injuries and Emanuel's brother, Ulises, is currently in critical condition. It deeply saddens our hearts that Emanuel, at only 10 years old, was unable to overcome his injuries. He passed away that evening, leaving his loving mother and family behind.

We would love to be able to describe Emanuel to you all, but we truly don't know where to begin. He was the most caring, loving, kind-hearted kid. He always wore his heart on his sleeve and a bright smile on his face. Emanuel was a soccer super star, but wished to one day become a police officer. He will be missed every single day, not only by his family and classmates, but also by the entire Putnam County community.

The Acosta family needs support now more than ever. They need help with funeral expenses, as well as medical bills. Emanuel's brother, Ulises, is still in critical condition. Let's come together for Emanuel and to help the Acosta family during their time of grief. Anything will help and will be greatly appreciated. 

Emanuel's smile will shine on and always be in our hearts.
