Abby's Peru Medical Mission 2018

Hello all! I'm Abby, a junior nursing student at Lipscomb University. Last May, I had the most humbling and life-giving experience of my life. For 17 days, I traveled with a team of 25 other Lipscomb students, faculty, and medical providers on mission in Santo Domingo, Peru. For the majority of our time there, we built and conducted a free medical clinic for the community as we sought His spirit step by step. The Lord so graciously used every single member of our team in ways we could have never imagined, and being a part of it only made me hungrier for more of the supernatural.
The day we left Santo Domingo to return back to the states, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that God would be calling me back. I felt as though a piece of my heart had Peru permanently stamped on it. Little did I know that not only would I be going back this year like I had hoped, but I would be returning as one of two student leaders!
This next May of 2018, my team and I will traveling to Lima from May 10-26. Once there, we will meet and develop personal relationships with church members as we worship and work alongside them to conduct a free medical clinic for the local community. The team will set up the medical clinic and pharmacy, and the clinic will be conducted with both American and Peruvian doctors and nurses. Not only will we be providing free medical care, but we will also be conducting bible lessons for children, connecting with and praying over every single patient, and sharing the love of the Father every chance we get.Ultimately, we are not being sent to "bring Jesus to Peru". We are being sent to serve and love the Peruvians the way Jesus did, stirring up a flame in their hearts for the God who is already living and dwelling in their midst. I am so excited to see how God will use our team to pour out love on the people of Peru once again!
In order to return in May 2018, I need your prayers and financial help in getting there. The cost of my trip is $1700, which covers lodging, airfare, and other basic expenses.
