Elwood's Sarcoma Treatment

Elwood was rescused by A Purposeful Rescue from the East Valley Shelter in March 2017.  At the time he had a gnarly growth on his foot and a few lumps removed.  Sadly he had a regrowth on his abdomen.  His cytology came back and it's a soft tissue sarcoma and he has to go to a canine oncologist to remove it.  Our vet will not remove it and said it has to be a board certified oncologist since it is a recurring tumor.  We LOVE our dogs and want to give them the very best.  Unfortunately (as many pet parents know), vet specialists aren't cheap.  His surgery and related treatments will most definitely go over $5000, but we're not asking for help for the entire amount.  If we can raise just a portion, it'll be a blessing.
If his treatment is less that what we recieve from generous donors, we will donate any and all remaining funds to A Purposeful Rescue.
We hate asking for help, but we really, really need it.  Elwood desperately needs it. Elwood is the kindest dog and deserves to live a long and happy life.

We do have pet insurance on both of our dogs, but it will not cover this since it's a preexisting condition.

We will be posting all vet bills here so all donors are well informed of where their money is going.
