Elvis Brown’s Brain Lymphoma Medical Expenses

As many of you may or may not know, our dear friend Elvis Brown has been battling Primary CNS Lymphoma (brain) since late October of 2021. You probably know him as a fun, energetic, and loving friend, artist, songwriter, manager, etc. Unfortunately a lot has changed for Elvis in the past months.
In the weeks before his diagnosis, Elvis was complaining of headaches and being dizzy. It was not long after, that those symptoms were accompanied by severe weakness, confusion, blurry vision and shaking. His close friend Calix called the ambulance and Elvis was rushed to the emergency room. Tests showed a brain tumor and so much swelling that it could have killed him if Calix did not call 911. Since last October, Elvis was in a vegetative state & on a feeding tube, unable to speak, eat, and move at all. Elvis received many rounds of chemo while in the hospital and finally started to respond in late February. He is now able to move his fingers and toes, blink his eyes, and respond in short sentences, along with drinking liquids and eating applesauce. Elvis has hurdled many obstacles along the way and has come far, but this is just the beginning to get Elvis back to himself!
Elvis remains in the hospital and will need many more treatments, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Unfortunately, Elvis does not have good insurance and they have been reluctant to give Elvis the proper care. Fortunately for Elvis, Calix has been there by his side the whole time, ubering back and forth to the hospital every day, eating at the hospital, getting rides from friends, etc. The money from this fund will go towards any past, current and future expenses related to Elvis’ care. It will also help make it easier for Calix, as he has been the primary caregiver through it all.
