I'm proud to say that I've made something from nothing all of my life. I'm proud to have supported my family thru my X-husband's Phd. , to have supported my children as a single mother and to continue to help them in their college pursuits. It's been a meager but full life and have never taken from welfare save for a pair of glasses once. Now, past the half decade mark I am asking for those who have enjoyed my work to help me breathe and work to extend those years. January, February , and March have exposed the damage to my health from years of working on a shoe string. I could never afford proper, dry, or safe working conditions but the cost was worth the chance. I was able to attain the best public school system for my kids in a safe and thriving environment . Now I must choose to work in safe conditions at an entry level retail outlet for my health or create 'something from nothing' and ask for help. So I am asking.
